We've got serious serious problems if Turner stays at 13. He wasn't really playing 13 against wakey, he was like a stand off.

It's ok doing it against a poor team at home one time but I can assure you he can't do it against top teams. He's one of the softest players I've ever seen in my life and it will leave us a player short in the pack.

I'd put money on Brown not having Turner anywhere near the halves or pack next year. Not a chance in hell!

Like I said, we still need a replacement for sia and he needs to big a good player. I can accept Vea for Manu providing we bring in a top class replacement for sia.

Until he is on a contract that doesn't have financial implications based on number of performances, I wouldn't class him as first grade.

I'm talking about ability on the field and not the financial side of things. In other words, I think Thompson is a good squad player with potential to be a quality player for us.

I believe Saveilo was excellent against Leeds in the u19s last night which we won.

It's more of a case of I really want Percival and Jones to make a grab for the centres role, and Turner needs to be moved to accommodate. I still like Turner as a player though and think he brings something, but it would be absurd to play him in the pack alongside Wilkin.

With regards Thompson is a first grade quality player without a place in the 17 - which kind of proves my point that he's a suitable replacement for laffranchi.

I think a few people are forgetting that we should be intending to IMPROVE the squad, not maintain it.

Our full strength squad isn't good enough to win a trophy. Burns won't change that on his own.

I agree with that. He could be a superb player if all goes well. The pick of the bunch for me.

If you watch the match replay, Turner's pass selection and timing was excellent and his kicking had plenty of depth albeit against Wakefield. This tells me he is quite capable of taking temporary roles at 6 and 13 if needed, he is a lot better option than Wheeler when it comes to game involvement.
