So many leaders on that pitch - who didn't just shout at team-mates, they led by example.

The tragedy of that era is that, for reasons of pure bad luck, we didn't win more before the rot set in.

I fear for us next week! I really really do fear for us. I can see a 40/50 point hammering. The problem we have, we just can't put points on the board with Walsh, lomax and Wilkin out as we can't create anything. Then add the fact we can't tackle means only one outcome and it's a big big score on us.

We've scored only 25 points in the last two games that Walsh has been out and we've conceded 51 points so it doesn't read good.

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

I think they should forget what's coming up in the play offs and treat next week as the last game of the season with the silverware obviously hanging on it. We need an enormous improvement in defensive line speed and not to give the Giants the opportunity to play an expansive game.
We could very much have a game similar to Leeds, where we are hanging on and hit the opposition with counter play, most importantly we need to complete our sets with a decent kicking game.
If we are going to throw out stupid passes, drop the ball and miss loads of tackles then the regular season will just be a damp squib and the early season form will mean nothing.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

There will be no silverwear hanging on next weeks game if Wakey finish the job for us this afternoon.

Anti climatic I know , but that can be the nature of the league sometimes.

That's how we treated Friday mate. The plan was treat it like a final and look what happened.

Well exactly. We lose finals! We shouldn't treat ANYTHING like it was a final. We might win it then!

The point I'm making is, we had the first chance In years to win something, it was the last game at home of the regular season and we turn out a performance like that. I'm not moaning at losing as that's part of the game but it's the way we lost in what was really a cup final for us.

Like I've said, the are to many players with no heart or desire for the shirt. Teams can usually carry 2/3 players like this but we are basically a squad of players that lack heart, desire and comitment.

I'd never call Tommy Mac for that woeful performance as I put that down to him having one of them games but certain players have those games every week and we can't afford to keep carrying them.

.

Exactly we can accept the loss but not the manner of performance. I,m not all that bothered now if we don,t achieve the LLS that should have been done last Thursday in front of our own fans with desire and effort, not surrendering to every aspect of the game.

That's why I believe getting to Old Trafford this season wouldn't benefit us on the field at all as we'd get snotted.
