Fantastic player no doubt about it, but cant see McManus touching him with a barge pole after all of his off field antics.
Also, think his salary may be an issue - we have Burns coming in, Walsh staying, looks like Hohaia is staying so have a lot of cover in halves (along with Wilkin and Lomax who can also fill in there when fit) so I dont think half backs will be an issue for us next season, would be better off spending that money elsewhere in the team - a world class forward would do nicely please
I actually thing that Walsh and Burns, backed by Hohaia, who himself doubles as a rotation hooker the rest of the time, is a pretty exciting prospect.
Going back to the other thread, we'll also have some exciting possible options in the back three with Lomax backed by Swift (assuming Wello goes).
A rough house in the forwards is essential. I'd still take Willie Mason, watching him sledge the love out of St George was brilliant - someone to rile the oppo and put them off their game (and being massive to boot). He'd also give the likes of Masoe and LMS that confidence boost that they sometimes need ot excel.
The other thing, and I desperately hope its true but doubt it immensely, is the Turner -> NRL and Lyon -> Saints. Its obviously not happening, is it??
