He's not one of our better players. But he may well have given the most value for money. Can't imagine his wages were OK.

Crazy to join the nuthatch though.

Been suspended a few times for assault charges according to wikipedia. But none for a few years. Sheens was his coach at West Tigers so must trust him to sign him up.

He beat his wife up after a mad Monday knees up didn't he, forcing the NRL to suspend him for the remainder of the season and making his club side cut him loose. In PR terms alone, it's poor business. Salford are lucky they are so small time or that would be bound to be brought up.

If it's a choice between Salford and modelling for Matalan on a part time basis, would you choose Matalan? With Sheens in charge I'm hoping they are much more professional. As mentioned these signings won't get them in the top 8, but if they could do slightly better without disgracing themselves, that could be seen as progress.

As for Flanagan I thought he was one of our better players recently, including tonight. Superb defensively and we're going to miss that, the defensive technique he picked up in the NRL has worked well for him.

Never really kicked on into anything other than a solid tackler. Right decision to see him leave

I think the move to the NRL stagnated his development, especially as an attacking player. I really liked the look of him when he was at Wigan, he was far better with the ball then. Now he's just a tackling machine, but every team needs a couple of those.

I give Sheens ten months before he's gone. If that. Salford are the Flying Dutchman of RL with their very own Davy Jones at the helm (Koukash) who at any minute is likely to sail the boat to the bottom where it will be swallowed by his locker.

Spoken like an idiot.

Hard look to you guys yesterday, really fancied you to turn over Leeds. Hopefully next year with a few decent additions you should be the men to beat. Theo will go well for you, although don't expect too much to soon with him as he is still a baby and needs to develop his kicking game more( classy player tho)

As for Salford, I'm delgihted we seem to be signing players to make a team and not a team of idividuals. Flanaghen sounds like he is just what we need and seems a direct replacement for Hansen. Am intrigued by Lui as he looks like the perfect foil to Dobson and am keen to see how they link up. Rangi was good but too hot and cold and too selfish.

Good luck next year and am more than confident we can meet in the top 8's next year.

Flanagan will be a top signing for you. Honest, hardworking, and a real team player. Always willing to put his hand up and take on more responsibility.

All the very best to the lad.

He was expected to develop into a ball playing loose forward when at Wigan, I think he played stand off while in junior RL not exciting but solid
