Last night was like watching the saints of old, millward would have been proud. Some great attacking moves, backing up and some real great individual performances. We built up leads and then let the opposition back in, causing way too many scary moments. But if you want saints to go back to being the entertainers that is what you have got to put up with. You also have to accept the strong possibility that on any given week we could well get tonked by any other side in the league. You also have to accept that we will also have a couple of players in the side who are a bit rubbish. Bring back the good old days

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

I thought Tasi went well last night, he's gradually getting more confidence, like the way he always attracts 3 players finds his front and Roby gets a quicker PTB. Although he missed a few tackles (like everybody else) last night his defence is fairly good compared to the rest of our pack.

Tasi was awful. He had 5 mins spell where he had a decent spell but he's so soft it's unreal . He never wins contact and soft as bag of s*it in defence.

He's been a awful signing so far.

As a neutral fan who listened to the game on the radio, I felt that the match had everything and was a fantastic advertisement for the game.
Yes there were defensive frailties on both sides, but with both sides low on confidence and with some fans on their backs, they both showed their exceptional attacking skills to produce a thoroughly entertaining match.
If only we could show matches like that to a wider audience and show the sporting public what real rugby is all about. One day the RFL may pay a proper salary to a marketing director to get us the publicity that we so richly deserve.

Some great Individual standout players on both sides, and a lot of bad defence work by both sides.

It was very entertaining and better than some defence orientated bore fests we have seen this season, but it would have been nice to at least see some defence.

Great game to watch for the neutrals, Roby still a class act.

Tasi made 21 tackles with three missed.

His average metres were also good but the number of carries should have been higher.
He certainly was not the worst in the forwards.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Re: Are you not entertained? : Sun Apr 24, 2016 6:21 am
His opposite number Galloway made 36 tackles
11 carries
made similar average gain
similar missed tackles and tackle busts
1 penalty

However over the season so far, Keith Galloway has far more tackle busts,
100 more tackles
Tasi makes more offloads
less meters but also less errors & penalties
Tasi also misses less tackles, but then you look at the 100 more tackles and you can see why.

He's not miles off the pace but he was never going to be a Mose, 1 match in 5 or 6 game breaker.

I was expecting Tasi to be around Amor's level, but Amor has gone up a few notches this season so we can't use the comparison. Tasi has picked up from the Castleford game, his attacking game is not a tackle busting one, on impact he takes the tackle and carries on pumping those legs for the hard metres. For me he is more of a defensive prop, hardly misses a tackle, a very low error count and doesn't give penalties away.
.
You would think the forwards in the pack have specific roles, some more attack orientated, Tasi and Richards certainly don't have that role. Biggest worry for me is Sav his performances are a bit "hit and miss", doesn't have the skill set for a creative loose forward, doesn't have the energy levels of Vea and LMS and not quite big enough for impact prop, maybe he isn't coached in the right way.......I don't know.
