The FPN rumours came from the Sydney Morning Herald - are you suggesting that the club told them to announce it and they just went "okay, there's no need for us to look into these things, or talk to Canberra or the player"?

If the rumours were started by the star, I'd be more inclined to believe you in your there was never anything in this its all lies philosophy (Saints, categorically, did speak to FPN). Burns has been on the outer for months and should of gone months ago, and Charnock isn't long for this club and wouldn't cover 10% of FPN anyway probably...

If he has gone to Wigan, we should be concerning ourselves with the fact that almost definitely means that Bateman is gone and that's who we should be chasing

And what do you think the chances of Saints pulling a transfer like that off are? I'd attend LP naked if that came off.

I can't wait to see KC's 'promised land' signings. I really can't. If you believe the papers Luke Lewis is to sign a new 2 year deal with Cronulla today, Gilmore has signed an extension with Widnes and FPN is off to Wigan. Just who are these people who are going to transport the club to on high? Some cracking players have moved already. Perhaps if we had someone at the club with any credentials for the roles they are in we might be doing better with recruitment.

Hull, imo, have shown some good nouse in their signings.
Players like Fanou and Talanoa are big, they're quick and they're not so physically challenged that they'll love up 50% of walk in tries that come their way.
We have very little ability to get a roll on early in the set, since our back 3 players are a bunch of shrimps.
