no it doesnt. just because this guy was available doesnt mean that we had to sign him. You dont know what he is earning at Hull KR, you dont know what Laffranchi is earning. You cant judge the re-signing of Laffranchi until we see the context of the rest of the signings that we make, and how the squad balances up next year.

I think a lot of people (including me) have already judged the re-signing and not in a positive light, regardless of the make up and balance of the squad.

We can spot a dud when we see one.

The money element is true but Laffranchi given his rep before he joined us probably wasnt bargain basement. Unless we sign a top quality british props (who???) Laffranchi is taking a quota spot that could have been taken by a real prop or a standoff . I've seen Weyman play, he is a proper prop , exactly what we need.

Laffranchi will be a 6 figure salary and is a guaranteed dud. Weyman is one of the top 10 props in Australia and is only 28. He will be a great signing even if he is over the hill.

On the subject of salaries, anyone see the article where it was reported Meli's contact at Salford was over £140k a year. That's laughable.
