Doesn't look like they expect a big gate if they are effectively giving tickets away.

Will be interesting to see if it boosts the gate, or just saves the hardcore fans a few bob they would have spent anyway.

Bearing in mind our home form this season I doubt anyone much at all would have turned up for the usual prices!

That could be except that the prices are the same for season ticket holders and non-STHs alike. We (STHs) just get first dibs on them that's all.

Slightly off topic but this seems a good idea regarding season tickets from Huddersfield. The Giants have also launched a new initiative called SKY SWAP where any home Super League game that is moved for Sky TV (change of day) after the start of the season will see Season Ticket holders eligible for discounts off a 2015 Season Ticket. Terms and conditions apply. http://www.giantsrl.com/matchday/2014_season_tickets

I see it as a more positive step, always better to have 10k people paying £15 than 5k paying £25. Better for the fans and better for the club.

Don't playoff gate receipts get pooled and shared out? I'd imagine mac wants to make enough to cover costs but get as many in as he can to back the lads.

Money does get pooled, and I think its the RFL who set the prices for the playoffs not the clubs.

Just tried to buy a ticket for this game and found all I can buy is a ticket for "Saints in the Stadium"

Has our stadium become yet another venue for religious indoctrination?

They seem to be available online when they go on general sale.
