All my worst fears about his weaknesses were on display tonight.

Hull KR scored all their points when he was on the pitch.

They made huge yardage, in the same way teams used to do against Feka. Simply run at the lad, he is then slow getting in position, this causes team mates to have to adjust their position, which leaves gaps across the park.

On numerous occasions he was puffing his way back into the line with his back turned to the defence, Hull KR then scooted off into the holes he was leaving.

Going forward he was somewhat lumbering as well, reminding me of Stuart Evans waddling his way into the opposition players. He is hard to put down but just looked too damn big and slow.

I really think over the next few weeks we really need to be pushing him hard in training to get his fitness up.

He's a million miles away from fitness.

What's pleasing tho is how many defenders he attracts. Once he's fit he'll be a real asset

Entirely my thoughts. They were throwing up to 5 defenders at him!

I thought he was poor and it was exactly what i expected after missing the whole of pre-season. I was praying somebody wasn't stupid enough to write a thread writing him off, very poor from a saints fan.

All of the above posts are right. He is in horrendous shape and will probably need a couple of months of real hard graft to get into the shape he was in at Penrith. I'd guesss at three stone overweight currently?

He reminded me of Maurie when he first came and looked like he'd never played the game in his life before.

I'd be careful which games we use him in as tonight it was like we were playing with 15 players. I would be severely tempted to loan him to a Championship club and ask them to play him for 80 minutes.

To be fair to chair maker he was not writing him off. He said..

I dont think he was all that bad, just had a steady debut. Roby was happy that he was attracting 4 of the oppostion prior to the next play the ball.
Should be getting match fit ready for the Easter programme.

I'm not writing him off as of yet. However he has to work hard to get fit.

The concern for me is that two NRL clubs binned him off with it being cited for both that he had issues getting fit.

Luckily for us we have a home game against a weakened Cats side then what should be a straight forward away game against Wakefield to improve his fitness levels.

I would be very reluctant to play him against Leeds, unless his fitness improves significantly. Their fast three quarters would have a field day against him.

He's nowhere near match fit and been out for 3 month with a ankle injury. He is pretty slim to how he was when he arrived.

The way he turns his back in defence is a big worry for me. It was like watching a 10yr old who's never played rugby before. Turning your back in defence is school boy stuff and can be a big issue when your that big and not the fittest of guys.

I'm going to give him a month before I make any real comment on him but one first glance and wasn't impressed at all.
