Tommy Makinson : Sat Mar 15, 2014 9:43 am
T-Mak's form this season has been brilliant. Back to his breakthrough season.

His break through the entire Cats line down the middle was a highlight of last night.

Lets hope his form isnt effected by losing Turner for a few weeks

I don't think it will effect his game. Most of his runs are coming from him coming inside looking for work. He's been outstanding just as Adam swift as.

I also thought lomax had his best game of the season last night.

Both wingers look great at the moment, seeing how they perform against the Leeds backline will be a big test for them

Percy had a pretty good game at the home game against Leeds last season. For me if you can stop Peacocks go forward and off load game and restrict Sinfields distribution then we should get the home win with or without Walshy.

Makinson's performance doesn't surprise me. I've always thought him a real find. Glad to see others now agree with me.

His solo try kick return was a dream to watch. That's been coming for about three years.

Nearly as good as his try against Brent Webb in that Grand final!

From the moment he scored that try against Wakey at the stobart, I think we all got very excited about a winger with real pace. Unfortunately, his diminutive size left him lacking in certain less romantic areas of the game, meaning when Rush took over and went back to basics, he got shelved for Gardner. When Brown gave him back his starting spot, it coincided with some pretty awful team form.

When our form pepped up at the end of the season, he really started to excel and has carried on. I think the subtle increase in strength that 18 months brings has helped him immensely. He wouldn't have broken through those tackles for his try last night back then.

I think he'll always struggle to compete for an international shirt with the likes of Hall, who are a lot bigger, but his acrobatic finishes are testament to his ability to make the most of his game and pace like his is a great value.

Probably due to Mak's slighter frame, Swift may well turn into the better winger. His break just before Tommy's try was almost as entertaining.

We are very lucky with our set of backs. Come 2015, it could be irresistible.

Currently joint top try scorer along with 4 others.

He (and swift) carried on where they left off at the end of last year, and are looking very promising! It's great to feel a sense of excitement when our wingers get the ball

You taking the mick tells me that you just can't admit that I made a correct judgement call on Makinson. He's been good for us ever since then, through changes in coaching staff and umpteen injury crises. All it took was a proper 7 on the field who doesn't just pass to the left all the time for everyone else to see what I've been seeing in him.

He was average at best last year and struggled to make the 17. He's performed very well this year. Maybe his disciplinary was a kick up the bum but he's been top class every week this year as swift has been.
