Correct.

The best way to honour the lad is to field your strongest team and try to win. If Saints as a team and supporters do that the Rugby League family will be rightly proud, regardless of the result.

Agreed, and I don't think anyone from Wakefield would want to think if they do win they had done so because people felt sorry for them.

Damned right. I personally wiould have liked the game to be called off as i believe the emotion of the occasion will be too much for some of the players. If the focus isnt right then that can be very dangerous on the field of play. The decision has been made though so i am sure both teams will perform to their best considering the circumstances.

although its gonna be hard for our players and staff in this game i'm also sparing a thought for the Saints players as they will find it hard to go all out and give us a beating, but hope you come to win and hope its a cracking game and we all do Leon proud

for me if it had to be any team, it has to be saints.
bring loads of fans, the most entertaining team in SL, and go for it.

thats in my honest opinion would be the greatest respect you could give my club and this lads memory. No one would want less.

the result at this moment i dont actually give a damn about, as others have said this is not going to be a normal night.

I hope you bring a strong team and play to win. I don't think its quite right to say I hope the game is a 'thriller', but I hope it's a good game and that there's some real quality rugby league played, even if its only by your lads. As far as Wakey are concerned, all I want to see is our players put on the shirt with pride, as they have done all season. Scoreline is irrelevant, but some good rugby is the best way to honour Leon this weekend.

I think you may well see a goodly contingent of young players in our side this week but not because we don't appreciate Wakefield. It will be simply because we have a growing list of injuries (and our young players are our backup)! Unless they all appeared worse than they actually are, we are likely to be missing Long, Roby, Fas and possibly Gilmour (unless it was just cramp, in which case not) to add to Tony P who is already getting over a groin injury. There also seems to be a question mark over Graham but I can't decide whether someone confused him with Roby. We were going down like flies on Friday! Either way, we may be showcasing some young talent again come the weekend. Hope no-one will think we're doing anything other than what we have to do, given our War of the Roses on Friday night.
