Here is an option.

Makinson
Swift
Jones
Percival (I don't get what moving him to the wing offers)
Ashe
Turner
Lance

Walmsley
Howarth
Clough
Sia
Laffranchi
Wellens

LMS
TP
Greenwood
Hand

A fairly nimble back line with a pack that should be enough. Also gets Frank in the back row.

But the halves are an issue, but they where anyway, so what's the harm. In a way, balance out the rest of the side and then the last 2 play in the halves.

I like this but i was thinking more along the lines of:
Makinson
Swift
Turner
Percival
Ashe
Charnock
Hohaia
Walmsley
Howarth
Clough
Soliola
Jones
Laffranchi

McCarthy-Scarsbrook
Puletua
Greenwood
Forster/Hand

This way your not moving to many of the backs or the pack around, and I'm sorry there is no room for Wellens in my selections, as much as the man has done for the club I just think he needs to slip into retirement and move into a backroom position...

Apparently Luke Thompson is getting his debut against London. I've looked on Saints website but there is no indication as to what position he plays. Anyone know where he plays?

Apparently also Nathan Ashe will get 'significant game time' which sounds like he may play at hooker, given that is usually the position that is interchanged and he has played previously.

You need to put Luke Thompson in there.

I've just had a wild guess. We never know, we might have someone back. We will have to see the squad when its released.

Saints have just confirmed on Twitter that Luke Thompson is a prop forward who will be 18 on Saturday. He played for Pilks Recs and has also played internationally. I hope he's a big lad because he's bloody young to be playing prop in the first team!

Saints did confirm that he will be getting his debut on Saturday so that sounds like he'll be playing?

Ashe was nowhere near as good at hooker as Speakman against Salford, so to prefer him now at 9 is strange - and that's before you consider we've also loaned Howarth and had Hohaia playing there. Bonkers Brown never fails to suprise, though.

Jeezy Creazy. Well, its rare, but some guys are ready at that age. Burgess and Graham for instance, but they're few and far between. Good luck to the lad.

Why play this guy, and indeed Tilley before him, before Hand and Forster, who you would have thought from the fact they were involved at the beginning of the season, that they were higher in the pecking order?

Does anyone know anything about this Thompson fella? Has he come through our ranks or is he a new recruit?

Didn't we used to have another prop called Thompson? A big, fat lad who was half decent, who came from nowhere, played a few games and then left again?
