Looking at the stats it is hard to see how we won that one. It does show how important Manu and Walmsley were.

I thought my mind was tricking me when I only spotted Perry take the ball up twice. If he had done the full 80 he would have still only made 32 meters. Hard to disagree with what everyone else has said about him on this thread.

A lot of the differences between the two teams were things that stats don't cover. We scored 2 tries off kicks (I think we are the worst in the league for doing that) and one off a fumble behind the line. This games show what happens if your kicks stay in play, even if they are not great ones and you tackle hard. We simply out enthused them.

The high number of penalties suited us as we didn't have to make the meters to get into try scoring areas.

You can't base Perry stats over the 80 mins for the 15 min spell he had. I'd like to see the stats for all our players in the first 15 mins and compare. Leeds destroyed us in the opening 15 mins.

Possibly, but Leeds had the same amount of penalties as us and we still made more meters with less carries.

The star for me again was sia. Huge number of tackles. Good yards. Busts. And low penalties and errors. Almost perfect. Some players excell in one area he is top or close to top in all.

Walmsley - what a player he is turning out to be.

As for Josh "two carries" Perry, words defy me.
