When we talk about a club this size finding themselves out the top 4 being a disappointment, for sure it is, but it is the first time out the top 4 for many years.

I'm all for ambition, but it can come across a bit arrogant, most clubs fluctuate over the years. This has been our worst for sometime. But even when we where a top 2 side, some where claiming woe is me.

Nothing wrong with setting high expectations, if you set the bar low it becomes a downward spiral. We should be aiming to finish top every year and win a league and cup double every year, if we fall short then so be it but we should have the same targets the year later. Man Utd under Whiskeynose has similar goals and it kept everyone at there club on their toes, nobody being safe , top standards expected at all times, it the only way if you want be at the top and stay there. I'd rather be accused of being arrogant than a loser.

Yes but I still enjoyed some of those seasons where we finished 2nd. Some people moaned as though 2nd was akin to going into administration.

So when they moan now, it all feels a bit like crying wolf. I've got so used to it when we did well now it just seems like more of the same.

Agreed. I never understand why football coaches come out and say we want to finish in the top half of the table? Surly every team should be playing to win the league.
