3. Hohaia was not terrible, but still for the life of me can't work out what his position is.
5. Not sure why we're releasing Meli. He was very impressive today. Easily the best centre on the pitch.
7. I think Lomax looked like he was playing on one leg after he injured it.
8. In the second half, ominously, we really struggled to make yards out of our own half. Leeds will cane us.
9. Our defence still lacks real aggression. Quite a contrast from both sides in the preceding game.
I have been a critic of Lance and there is no way I have given him and easy ride. But yesterday he took the line on and after I said he could not kick for toffee fair play to him he did have a few decent kicks.
So well done lance it actually looked like 2 halfbacks on the field yesterday.
The Meli thing must be down too ££££££ also there are a good portion of fans been calling for his release, me included for some years. The fact he has found his place at centre after several years of being put on the wing is at best ironic,
I think lomax over stretched it in the tackle. Not sure how that will effect him going forwards, but did not seem to effect his running to badly, or the chip through. It maybe a case of pulling him off the pitch if the game is covered.
Speaking of which, it was handy of the announcer to tell the opposition we had pulled the FB off, before we had rebalanced the team. Dobson latched onto that info a lot quicker than us. lol (timing).
I think second half we took a leaf out of the Wire and Leeds book and just kicked deep. The game was won and we played a more counter attacking style.
I'm not sure we lacked aggression, but when the game is done by halftime it's hard to treat it as a 0 - 0 game. You can say go out and treat it as 0-0 but everyone knows it's not and you are already through.
Shame so many missed one of our best performances of the season.
