Indeed. We have been lucky in the last few weeks, but the truth is that dodgy decisions go for and against you in any given game. The fact that we've been managing to cling on in close games right to the end means that questionable decisions that have gone in our favour have turned out to be pivotal. Obviously we'll need to get back on our game as those big calls won't continue to go our way every week.
Despite us not looking at our best of late, we do seem to have a new found determination in the squad. I think when we turned the corner last year it was in a game against Leeds and I remember Rod Studd or similar saying that both before and after the match you could hear the lads belting out
Oh When The Saints..... Its interesting to see that still going on now alongside the recent wins (they showed us un the changes after either the Hudds or Leeds game).
Hopefully we've now got a squad that is not only talented, but confident in their ability, determined and focussed on victory, closely knit so that they'd fight for each other and mentally robust enough to go into good Friday well enough wound to blitz Wigan beyond even their extra derby gear.
Wigan love the derby and the fact we're sitting top of the pile will only serve as extra motivation. Its a massive test for us.
