I'd say grade C. He made clear contact, but it wasn't quite a full-on street fighter's head butt. Either way I expect the panel will rightly take into account his exemplary record when sentencing.

egp and/or exemplary record will give him a two match ban.

It most certainly was. It was similar to something you'd see in football, just there was no swan dive to follow. A proper headbutt looks very different to that and would have produced far more damage.

Strangely enough no one has said that, so I'm not sure what your point is?

Most of what I have read has been a discussion about the headbutt.

So the only stupid thing seems to be the comment I'm commenting on that is about none of the comments on this thread.

I think it should be a grade C. He's been the ultimate pro on and off the field and great example to any kids to follow in his foot steps.

However, he does need punishing for the offence but IMO his good record should go in his favour (as it did with Roby) and I think 3 match ban is sufficient.

If he's charged with a Grade C he will no doubt use his EGP and therefore be banned for only two games. Is that sufficient for a headbutt?
