Wigan are below you in the table, so technically, have been more inconsistent.

It's not a first past the post system, which makes it irrelevant where we are in the table. Wigan, Leeds and Warrington have all had periods this season where they've clearly held back. Wigan have rested O'Loughlin as much as possible for example to try to ensure he's fit for the play offs.

That match tonight was superb. I don't think I've seen us reach that level for a quite some time. Quite simply they are the best teams in the league.

God help us if we have to play either next week. I dread to think what the scoreboard will show.

I've forgotten how the play offs work as I've given up by the this time usually. Who will we likely play week 1 if we finish 1st, or 2nd?

1 v 4
2 v 3

Winners have a week off, the other two play the winners of 5 v 8 and 6 v 7.

So home to Warrington if we win tomorrow and home to Huddersfield or Cas if we lose?

So, should we be losing tomorrow?

I think if we lose and Catalan beat Cas, we could play Wigan at home depending on points difference I think.

A draw is probably best all round.

But how long did it take Wire and Wigan to get to that stage. And how much investment? Saints aren't far off. with Walsh and Lomaxin the side, you would still be title contenders. Burns would be a great signing for you and you'll be serious contenders next year with him in the side. Saints have had high intense games like that and won them this year. But Saddened seems to forget them.

But we wouldn't though. I agree we aren't far off in terms of personnel, it's what we do with the players that is letting us down. They are not as fit as the other top sides and not as committed either.

I sat watching last nights game thinking thank god we not playing any of them two. If they bring that sort of game to us in the play offs then we in big big trouble.

The halfback situation aside we do seem to be missing something as saddened says. We dont look as fit as we should although we do spend too much time defending due to poor execution and we do for whatever reason (imo lacking leadership) seem to just go off the boil and collapse in some games.

We're basically a better version of Salford. I think that's how most of us feel. Plenty of quality in the roster, but only doing it when they feel like it. :(
