Desperate stuff this. Let me give you the ACTUAL quote that KC said in the press conference:
"At the start of the game, I wasn't sure what set of rules we were playing to - we were playing to international rules but they certainly weren't the ones I read".
What you have to understand is that journalists quite often 'twist' someones words and therefore misquote them. This is a classic example.
Now you said that we were playing under Superleague rules. Under these rules, there are very specific guidelines for non-players. The only person allowed on the field at any point in time is the physio. Everyone else is only allowed to enter the field of play when there is a stoppage in play or an interchange is taking place.
Last night every time South Sydney had the ball, a member of their coaching staff (disguised as a water carrier wearing a blue t-shirt) entered the field of play and remained there for all 5 tackles. This is NOT allowed under Superleague rules.
It seems to me that two sets of rules where being applied last night. Hence why Cunningham said "I wasn't sure what set of rules we were playing to".
I would gladly clarify anything else for you.

My quote was directly from a published source.
Yours?
Why didn't he qualify which rules he thought were not being adhered to in the press conference?
Why didn't he or one of his staff approach the match commissionaire at some stage (half time) to complain of what he thought was wrong.
The match was played under Superleague rules and if Souths were blatantly flaunting them then someone should have brought it to the match officials notice.
Edit
Please clarify
If they were playing under International rules as Cunningham suggested
1) What are the International rules regarding water carrier and physio?
2) Why were the allowing the free play?
3) Were the rules different for both teams?
