In reference to the Paul Clough comment.
I agree.
A shame he hasn't kicked on.
When Graham left I genuinely believed he was gonna be world class but he just hasn't for any better.
I'm pretty sure the competition for the forwards will bring the best out of everyone this year.

Whist "world class" wasn't something I expected, I did imagine he'd be further on by now. Not that I particularly doubt Clough.
When Graham left, I suspected it would be clough that would take up the metre winning mantle and, in the first year, he did very well, making as many or more yards than other props, often with fewer carries and seemingly in less game time.
I think Clough's been hard done to by Brown. Whilst he's not the biggest, so struggles to get quick plays and indeed, dominate the ball carrier when tackling. On the flip side, he makes solid yards and has a remarkably high tackle completion %. I remember Cunningham raving about his commitment in training. He also seems to be [I[steady at any level[/I] in a way that see him play as well against the big team as he does against the poor, which is an underrated quality, especially since we had a point when we were really struggling in the big games under Royce.
Since Brown's arrival though, not only has he struggled with getting selected, but he's also been starved of minutes when used off the bench.
For me, even before you talk about relative wages and quota spots, he's a better prop than boof, but I think Brown just doesn't rate him, maybe he just thinks he's too small. If it was to give younger lads like Thompson and Greenwood game time fair enough, but....
