The bulls (twice), Wakefield, London, Salford all nearly gone to the dogs in recent years and now we want to spend 100s of thousands on marquee players. Surely that doesn't make sense?

Had the good DR put anything in place at Salford for their youth ?

Leeds are the perfect example of how a good club is run. The success they have had with home grown talent is amazing.

I hope Salford get relegated.

They have apparently improved and expanded their scouting network. It's very hard to start from virtually nothing, but he has the resources if he's serious to really build a great platform for Salford. Let's see how much he really wants to spend.
Under the home grown rule he could pay Stefan Ratchford anything he wanted, I wonder what Wires price for a release would be?

McManus is spot on. Focus on the development of players for a sustainable future. Going head to head with the NRL for players will just lead to inflated wages and we'll end up in the mess we have been in again.

The Dr hasn't got the game at heart at all. All he wants to spend spend spend. He doesn't care about British talent or England competing at international level he just care about himself and Salford.

Why isn't he campaigning for all youth players that come thru the system only count a % of their salary? That's a idea that has the game at heart.

All he wants is the salary cap abolished so he can blow all the other clubs out the water and when he's bored, he walks away with his millions and leaves Salford in the $hit.

Just to confirm, is the 'Home grown rule' definitely coming in next season. I read on the RFL website, the document relating to the new league structure and this was included. However I can not find any official confirmation that this rule has been sanctioned and will come into force next season.
