On the south coast with a load of retired folk. Makes me feel young.

Turner is a player that really really frustrates me!

If you look at him, he's a athlete and perfect for the centre. He's big, strong, fast, good hands and he CAN tackle when he wants to.

I can't can't describe on here what I mean so I'll try my best to put into words.

It's like he's half hearted and plays within himself. He will get the ball, show it, a gap opens but then he won't put the effort into it to go thru the gap, he will just plod and just get caught before he breaks the line.

Other weeks he looks up for it and breaks the line.

Same with his defence, some weeks nobody could beat him and he will put his body on the line with last ditch tackle but then he will grab at players for next 3 games.

It's like he's got all the tools but just can't or doesn't want to do it. I don't know if it's lack of interest or lack of confidence but I know he's got the ability.

Just look how soft he falls over that line today when the ball was ripped, it's like he's trying to break his fall instead of being crash bang in there.

Like I said, he really really frustrates me big time.

Karl Pryce was like that for us. You could see the talent, occasionally he was in the mood but most of the time he just plodded along in second gear.

Everytime I saw Masoe take up the ball he was always inside his own half. When Saints were attacking the play seemed to move away from him and Saints moved the ball to Wigans right side...Thought if Masoe would have charging up inside with ball in more attacking positions.....

It's actually very rare he takes a drive in our own 20 meter. He doesn't do the hard yards. It's also very rare he makes a one on one tackle, in fact I'm not sure one seen him make one at all.

We're using him wrong, completely wrong. He gets the ball when we're struggling, when we've barely made any metres and have no momentum. And he gets 10m. Where we need to have him getting the ball is when we've made a half break and got a quick play the ball, get him running at back tracking defenders rather than against 5 players coming forward primed to smash him.

He stands very very flat so he's got no speed up before collision. I think he can't have a run up as he be knackered.

Just look at his returns off the kick offs. He gets speed up and knocks players off. I expected him to play well today as his last spell at Cas last week was very good with some good off loads.s.

He made several today, and was a couple of seconds away from flattening a few (had SOL not passed the ball ...)

Masoe was our best forward on the pitch today by a considerable distance. His line speed is still a little off in defence, but he's proven himself to not be ridiculously bad in defence. He could be a little more secure with the ball (but after today's performance that can be said of anyone!) and was one of very few capable of making yards after collision today.

He very rarely gets the ball in our own 20 because we insist on having the wingers/ fullback take it in for the first 3 tackles every single set of 6, regardless of where we are. I remember going to a fans forum and potter (I think) saying that you know when you play Huddersfield that the wingers are going to take it in for the first few tackles - it's just what Nathan brown does, and it was exploited at times today.

There are plenty of players who need a long hard look in the mirror tonight, but Masoe isn't one of them. (Was also quite impressed with Richards until he got decapitated today - certainly put another "prop" to shame)

His nickname must surely be prozzie because he's always on his knee's.The effort he puts in to 1 drive or a big hit totally drains him because of how big he is.

It seems to me people are just looking for the negatives, I for one thought he was excellent and one of our best players on the pitch.

I'd say average and if that's him playing excellent then we not signed the player I thought we had.

Excellent in comparison to a team who were playing very poor. Excellent in comparison to the rest of the pack. You can't expect him to carry the rest of the team as that is not his role.
