I think the worst thing we can do with both Thompson and Jones is switch them between positions over and over, never letting them settle or kick on in any position. I really like Thompson, and see him as a direct replacement to Boof next year (hopefully with another experienced prop to share the role) - Jones was debated on here in the off season going round in circles.

I saw the burns to Wigan rumour - according to a pie muncher, both Saints and Wigan have made offers, so I guess it's whoever makes the best offer...

do you really rate him that highly?

it would be nice to have a half back that has some aggression but he also has brain farts that going along with that. at the moment he is playing brilliantly tho.

Why would Wigan be in for him? I honestly don't understand why they want yet another HB.

If they sign him then we should certainly make a play for Powell.

If we are in for him, is it an indication that we just need a stop gap before one of the kids are ready?

We've messed about with the halves for far to long now. Look at the successful teams that have won things in years gone by, they all had two good halves. We've been playing with none until this year.

Wigan - lulu/finch smith/green

Saints - Bobbie/tommy long/tommy long/pryce

Leeds - maguire/burrow maguire/sinfield

We should move heaven and earth to team Burns and Walsh up. Failing Burns we should go for Brown.
