Lance's forearm was worthy of a penalty for sure, but it was a pushing motion, an aggressive shove that would be penalty sufficient if put before the disciplinary committee. Flower starts it with the punch/swinging arm to the back of Hohaia's head, which again is penalty sufficient.
Flower's first punch was bad and worthy of a red under today's rules. Too clean a hit to get away with it, but with it being a GF he would probably have got away on report had he not followed it with the second punch.
That was the worst thing you'll see on any sporting field for many a year. He should be facing criminal charges and the RFL should throw the book at him for it. It's unacceptable and IMO Wigan and Wane are letting themselves down massively by not dealing with it either.
