Its not all about individual metres though, Mose attracted 4 wigan players every time he took the ball up, he was used twice as a decoy again attracting wigan players, this was using a lot of energy from the Wigan team. Wigan were making metres on the outer edges but were more or less dominated in the middle, we had a better kicking game so we didn,t have to make loads of metres.
Wigan,s bad composure at times created there own errors, I think Saints approach to the game contributed to that and exposed the weakness in a wigan side striving for consistency.

Saints first try, Masoe drives to the sticks and attracts four Wigan defenders (one of which was the fabled 'Mickey Mac', who may very well still be buried there after Masoe so comprehensively drove him into the dirt). Saints immediately go left and Swift walks in untouched. On the stats sheet, it'll only measure as a 4m gain and a carry. In due context, it was enormous.

Of course these are the finer arts of the sport. One can't expect daft Wiganers to understand.

Wigan turned into proper Disney villains in the 2nd half. Was funny as f... to watch them lose their rag and try to goad/injure our players. Wane's one game plan has well and truly been worked out.

Loved it.

Savellio was by far the better player last night.

And all this crap about Saints dominating the game.

Well here are the facts, despite having the majority of the ball, they actually only made 39 metres more than Wigan in the game. Wigan gifted Saints the game with the errors, the majority unforced, fair play to Saints for taking advantage, but those errors meant that Wigan had to make 110 more tackles in the game.

:D

I don't think even you believe that those stats tell the true story of the game. Feel free to judge Mose's performance on his stats. Those of us with eyes to see could see the impact he had.

Can see why Wane was so quick to congratulate "Benneh" last night. 4 carries and 15 metres from him was PHENOMENAL.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Do you actually believe the s**te you post ? You goons made errors because you were under pressure, champion teams cope with pressure better than losers. There is a reason we are Champions clearly.

Thanks for that input.

I do enjoy these desperately close games with Wigan.......... Biting my nails for the last 20 minutes.

In case you missed it we kicked you to death.

& while you are around - any comment on Micky Macs knee to the head?

Wigan should have won with 30pts with Benny Flower playing. :BLAH: Seem to have heard that somewhere before.

Lost in Translation, Flower Power thought Wane said let Saints score 30 points.
