McManus is a shrewd man, even if he gets plenty of unwarranted stick for being the opposite on here at times (when it comes to recruitment, that is). Like St. Pete mentioned, I was told Brown would be our coach after Simmons in the off-season. I very much doubt that he didn't cover every avenue before choosing the best of them.
I really rate brown, seems like a coach who strikes a good balance between inventive attacking play and progressive and structured defensive tactics. He also seems to have a thing for speedy rather than safe three-quarters, which tend to help on a big pitch in finals. All appears the type of 'Saints' that I like to watch, but time will tell.
