I thought the rfl had said that betting and alcohol firms weren't allowed sponsorship in the sport? Partly owing to the family game tag and partly due to catalans advertising restrictions? Wasn't that the whole drama about the stobart fiasco?

So why are Wigan different?

I don't think that was ever a rule as such. It was just the reasoning given when SL clubs turned down a paid sponsorship deal with a bookies (was it BetFred?) in favour of the Stobart deal. I think everyone will have realised the folly of that decision pretty quickly. We've had the Kingstone Press Cider Championship for a couple of seasons now, so it can't be an edict from the RFL.

Could be very good signing if he stays fit. Add tatuia (sp), Patrick and Joel tomkins after a real pre-season and their pack looks much much stronger.

I think Wigan Defo the team to beat and only the lack of a replacement for Blake Green is the only weakness I see.

Yip if they get 1 game out of him it's more than we got with Beaumont? But Mossop's had a nightmare 2 seasons with his shoulder so its a big gamble.

Apparently had the proper surgery now and 97% are cured from this surgery.
