Who was to know he would stagnate with us.
It's what happens when you make such poor choices with your coaching staff recruitment. Everything post-Anderson has been a nightmare, both player and staff recruitment.

Lance was a bit of a bad one, but once again whilst the wrong length of contract for the wrong position, you would think an NZ international would offer a bit more than we have seen.
Lance was an awful signing. He's never been a good player either. He survived in the NZW side for so long in the NRL because he was versatile. He could play reasonably well in several positions. Most seasons he wasn't first choice anywhere but second choice in so many positions that he ended up playing almost every game. His performances at fullback for NZW over the last few seasons should have been looked at by Saints, he was absolutely woeful. His lack of experience in the halves was also a big concern that the club ignored and is paying for now. People point out the fact that he's an international, but again, it's only because of his versatility.
His best position is clearly hooker for me. People say he's a fullback, but he was terrible in the NRL at fullback, youtube is full of Hohaia Meli-moments. But we've got Roby, so why he was signed is an absolute mystery to me.
