Perry too an NRL prop still doing the business when signed but then after being signed got injured and never really recovered.

I do remember pointing out that his record in the NRL wasn't that great but this was overlooked on here because he was a starting NRL prop. Perry is more than capable if we keep him off the medical table and get him going at the level he was at during that two game hot streak we had lol.

Perry isn't the problem and I wouldn't mind him staying. He's a decent prop and we certainly matched Wigan in the forwards at the weekend. Our problem is most certainly our backs, especially when you consider that we had our best forward out in TP.

You must have watched a different game than me, Perry didn't want the ball in the second half! He is not playing to the level required of somebody on his salary.

Perry got battered on Saturday and doesn't look fit enough to give much back. He's certainly been targeted by Wigan in the past two matches and he's had no answers.

Not saying he's a write off but if that's his usual standard (I've not seen much of him) I'd be worried as he's a top earning quota player producing no more then an academy prop could.

Exactly! Perry in the NRL was a top class forward, made State of Origin regularly and was hard as nails (seem to remember him battering Peacock in the WCC a few years back)

The Perry we have seen so far apart from the odd game has looked unfit, uninterested and I would be expecting more from an academy prop in the team. If he can get himself fit and motivated then he could still do a very good job for us, but if he doesnt come up with the goods between now and October send him back!!

Perry's barely had a run of three games together in his entire time here, of course he's not fit.

You won the game so of course everyone in our team got battered. You and your Goon mates have singled out Perry, Laffranchi, Roby, Soliola, Wilkin and Flanagan as being 'battered'. That's great if you ignore the fact that our pack made more metres than Wigan's and had the better territory. If we had a Sam Tomkins and a reasonable halfback we'd have converted the endless sets we had in your 20. The teams were very, very similar at the weekend, the higher quality of your halves and fullback was the difference, the rest cancelled each other out.

'My' observation is perry got battered and he did. The others you mention did ok but Roby was closed down really well which is a habit Wigan are getting in to.

That's it.

It's not that hard for a confident team really, you just make sure the gap behind the markers isn't too big. It leaves wide men a bit one on one, but I think Wigan are confident that they can deal with that threat given our pedestrian half back play.
