Watch the highlights from the Salford game and watch how ratchford carries the ball. You wouldn't get anywhere near first team at saints with such poor skills. That is not an unfounded criticism, it's a FACT.



Once you have such a bad carry by his age it is nigh on impossible to correct and for that reason alone, saints would never sign him. What it does indicate is that a player of his talent has never been corrected (poor coaching?) as a junior and the poor technical skills overshadow his natural ability as a result.



Let me put it this way, I would say without correction of his core skills, he will NEVER play at international level, regardless of how many tries he scores in SL.





Core skills development is one of the major reasons the Aussies are ahead of us in this country.
