He won't have the same sentimentality, in fact, what he'll have is a very objective veiw of him since he's coached teams against us.
If Brown has identified Wellens weaknesses and targeted them with success for Huddersfield, then he'll be apprehensive about holding on to him. If, on the other hand, he's planned to attack him and been thwarted, his opinion may differ?
I can't see, with the way Brown's teams like to handle and the way modern teams use the full back, combined with Wello's age and, one would assume, reasonably substantial wage demands, that he'll be keeping Wello on next year.
If Salford need to replace Pattern, they may well be in for someone of Wellens experience.
