I thought lance played well last night. We lost our way when slow coach howarth came back on. I hope to god we don't give him a new deal. He's awful.

Words can't describe how bad Howarth is. I hope all the saps suggesting we give him a contract have now had there eyes opened, he is just too slow in every aspect to ever deserve a place in a squad with aspirations of winning things.

Howarth is just not consistent enough to play for us. He was very good vs Catalans and Wigan, but he looked a very poor player last night

He played well for Lance but it was at 9. Which is fine if we are going to use him as a bench 9 with Roby. But Lance in the squad stops any hope of a new 6 from non-federation.

If that's the case we are still stuck for a 6, unless we can get GOB or the like.

Lance's best position is coming off the bench as a sub hooker. Looked dangerous from dummy half and got stuck in in defence, far outshone Howarth.

Like I've said in the past I sometimes question he's super league level player.

His best position is fullback which is what he is. He's never a halfback in a million years and I think that's pretty clear now.

His next next position is hooker. He can be a little slow with his ball distribution form acting half but he does ok job there.

He could do the utility bench role but that would end wello as a first team player as we couldn't have both. I personally don't like the utility player on the bench. In the this day and age, players are multi skilled and can cover other positions if needed during the game.

I prefer four forwards on the bench. The likes of Wilkin can cover the halves if need be as can Roby. We've got sia who can drop into the centre.

Although thebest teams still use 2 hookers.to keep the primary fresh throughout the match.

Saints dominated field position and had pressure on leeds line for 20 minutes. They came out of this with only an 8 point lead. The tide would always turn and saints were already gifting leeds field position before the injuries. Once leeds got a sniff, there was only one winner. The injuries were collateral damage.
