Thats correct, the Doctor is just after a quick fix and a gambled one at that to get Salford a short term gain. I hope I,m wrong but I think if he doesn,t get his way he will be gone in 3 seasons.

"The RFL won't let me spend"

"The clubs won't back me"

A good side has a combination of home grown, brought in british and brought in foreign players, that all bring something different and different experiences to the team.
All the successful teams have had this Wigan, Leeds and ourselves, and 10 yrs ago Bradford did too.

Salford have spent the Salary cap unwisely. They've paid better than average players top drawer wages. A team of mercenaries will always struggle against a side of mostly home grown players, who probably could get more money elsewhere, but love the team they play for

Everything from the obvious "saints are a small club" to the more creative were 13million in debt ... Apparently ...

Koukash can sign a British Lion if he wishes for x amount of money but guess what he wont because they're not interested in comming to SL and the same would happen with the NRL superstars.

Correct. Both clubs playing on Thursday night were full-spending on the cap. One has built a decent balanced squad over a number of years, whereas one has gone for the quick fix approach. It will take Salford 3 or 4 years to build a squad capable of competing at the highest levels. Giving Koukash the chance to pay players like Rangi Chase even more than they are getting now will not help either Salford or the game as a whole.
