Given his unbelievably poor injury record (and Brown's comments about his professionalism) anyone with any sense would understand if Saints cut him loose. If he comes back to haunt us, so be it (Wigan may come sniffing again).

But as shadows says, he won't be on any serious money, and we'll seriously struggle to replace him with similar quality - would it be worth the 30k to keep him on better safe than sorry money?

It would, if he'd stay for that. Or offer him more and a pay by play deal.

Maybe 30k was a little ambitious, but I'd seriously question whether anyone in the league would offer him ~50k+ given his record - so we might get away with that sort of range (unless he has a hell of an agent!)

I know we were rumoured to be offering Gardner a play per pay deal, back when everyone thought he was ooc (not that he ever was) so it might not be infeasible!

I'm sure brown, McManus and wheeler will have sat down and stated our intentions.

Back on topic slightly, 14 all at wire hudds atm

Warrington have just gone ahead at Hudds with 5 to go. Have wire become good again over night? I doubt it. Definite cracks in the Huddersfield team

21-14 to wire now.

I wouldn't write off Huddersfield next week just yet, but they are blowing very hot and cold at the minute...

Comfortable win for Wire in the end. Is that good news or bad for us?

Also, did anyone listen to it on Radio Merseyside, and if so did you enjoy the half time ramblings from Ray and co? Fabulous stuff.

Wasn't even a collapse in the second half, it was a collapse in the last 10 minutes!

Not sure if this makes me more or less confident for next week!

Well Wire havnt been the fittest of teams this year, so hopefully Hudds got tired. They've got 2 days off less than us and hopefully are hurting from this.
We should be favourites for the cup game, not sure if thats a good thing either!
