We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Not really helped us at all. If Wigan and Warrington lose then that will help us but otherwise one or both of those will be two points behind us should we win on Saturday and half the league seems to have a better points difference than we have.

Nah. We are in our two match win sequence at the moment. We'll lose to Widnes next week because that's our third game in the sequence, which is the loss!

Have you ever been close to somebody who is homosexual? Have you seen the deep hurt that it can cause to be persecuted for what is essentially a sexual preference?

I'd suggest you haven't as you would understand the pain that a 'nasty name' can cause to somebody. Although not homosexual myself I have been close and still am close to people who are and the vast majority would take a nut square on the nose before the 'nasty name' that you suggested.

Name calling goes on all the time between males of all ages. If your 'hurt' by a bit of name calling stop being so weak.

What's the old saying...'Sticks and stones may break my bones. Names will never hurt me'.

For the record I can't stand a lot of Hull FC and Liverpool fans and give them stick. I wouldn't expect them to go cry-@rseing over it because their 'preference' is Hull FC and Liverpool FC.

I'd rather be on the receiving end of a verbal attack than a physical one.

A typical attitude of a by gone era. Personally name calling doesn't bother me one jot, but there are those who it effects deeply, being unable to accept the fact that it does hurt some people is nothing but willful ignorance. Additionally labeling it as 'weak' is frankly incorrect, how do you define weak? Again, ignorance to the subject.

Tbh that's what's so baffling about the Sinfield incident. I know for sure he's had worst physically and pretty sure worst verbally so don't understand it.

So you're saying that racism is ok then as long as it doesn't include physical violence?

Is that what you would call racist or homophobic language? Their is a huge difference from calling a bloke a bell or wan*er and calling an Indian a jingly or a gay person a queer.

Being discriminated against for you're religion, ethnicity or sexuality can cause people to commit suicide or self harm like a lot do.

The fact that this isn't apparent to a select few is worrying.

But most people on here will be what society declares as normal,

White straight and christian practicing or not so the typical insults would not effect them but if somebody called you a poofter in an aggressive manner and you are gay it would upset you.

Nutting someone has the potential to possibly kill someone more than a bit of name calling will ever do?

I'd bet suicide rates are higher than death by headbutt though
