The extreme of "if we play him we ruin his career" is just as daft, actually more so, than saying give him a game to see if he can play a steady kicking role.

Your reference to Leeds is irrelevant if people have been wondering about him getting the odd 40 mins against the easy beats.

As for pressure of keeping top spot? Do any of us genuinely think we're going to finish top? If not, is there really any pressure associated with it?

This isn't "the business end", we are not going to finish top so in a way the rest of the games are meaningless other than to try to see who would work best as a steady, kicking half back for the play offs.

He might not perform too well and then he wouldn't play in the play offs. On the other hand he may make a steady job of it.

I think saying you ruin the career of a lad who is nearly 20 by playing him in an injury crisis is nonsense to be honest. We've played younger lads at prop against the biggest packs in the league.

To be honest, I'll never be convinced that not giving him some minutes in that little run where we had London and Bradford was the right course of action.

Never once mentioned a injury. I'm saying he couid damage the lads confidence and set him back big time.

The lad isn't even playing in the halves for the u19s. Surely if Brown thought he was ready, he'd be playing.

How mentally fragile can he be? If by twenty a bad game might ruin his career, this might not be for him ever.

In other news why isn't he playing hb in the U19's?

Brian McDemott was not ready when he was 20, plenty of players were not ready when they were 20+. The point is they maybe ready in a year or 2.
