I've not whining. I've stated it was a scrappy game and slow and that we couldn't get going for that reason. I beleive if the game wasn't so slow and stop start that we would have put a few more scores on.

I mentioned the subs. I don't think it's right having robes and Amor running their blood to water while we only used mose and Sav in 10 min bursts and lance wasn't seen until last 15.

I agree with you, I know I am one who goes close to the red zone at times when emotions take over, but there should be a line in the sand that I hope even I won’t cross. On the game, it was a bit like ours, good in parts, but still a lot to put right. JR showed his class once again, and is still one of the world’s best IMO.

I'm happy with the game.

The positives are this -
When we moved the ball wide, we showed we can do it very nicely. Once Walsh comes back in, we should be seeing some very entertaining rugby. If Percival hadn't lost the ball to that strip close to the line, that could've been try of the season already.

Kicking game was pretty good, even without Walsh.

Despite having a lot of possession, the opposition were kept to 1 try. They had a couple disallowed, but they only managed to cross our line with either a kick or when we took our eye off the ball at the PTB for Pellisier to strike. I think something we're all ignoring is that Catalan, although hampered by circumstance, are still a big tough team and very much came second place to our pack. As Dux stated, Walmsley looks to have beefed up a bit and was full of running. it could be a very big year for him. We also ground it out while leaving Savelio and Hohaia on the bench until very late.

Outstanding defensive performance against one of the ranked teams. They needed seven consecutive penalties to score a try.

The attack looked better despite Walsh being out and Burns only just in. That said, the passing was quick and slick.

With those big forwards grinding up the opposition six Saints just have to get the kicking right.
