You can't say that. Graham, Eastmond and Pryce (Please stay Leon if you're reading this) and that's three of the clubs highest earners gone. Add in Hohaia and Laffranchi, neither of which were highly covetted by NRL or SL clubs and you've got at least 1 players worth of cap room. I'm not aware of any of our first team youth players getting new deals, so we can assume any that have will take the salaries of the likes of Frodsham and Armstrong who don't look to be getting new deals. It would be madness for the club to sit on that much cap room.
There are still a few Super League players that have not yet announced their futures. Griffin is one, although Leeds appear favourites. There are Ragiun and Mounis from Catalans, both high quality players. There is Ewan Dowes, a reasonable SL prop and certain an improvement to our current bench. There is also Steffan Ratchford who is rumoured to be joining Warrington, but they haven't announced that one yet. I fail to see how Warrington can be in a position to be offering more than we could as they are a couple of senior players ahead of us anwyay.
Not sure how to multi-quote on here but St. Pete was correct about the quota spots so not sure what you are referring to with your opening sentence.
We have Flannery, Perry, Soliola and Hohaia on the overseas quota, so one space left.
However on the non-fed quota we have Perry, Puletua, Soliola, Hohaia and Laffranchi so no spaces left.
Therefore even though we have one overseas space, there is very few players, if any, that would count on the overseas quota but not on the non-fed as well. Cant think of one example!
