I like the stat thread and love having a good look at each players stats but they don't always paint the correct picture.

You don't need great stats to get the man of the match or have a big influence on the game.

Agree with this, for example av gain for a winger doing returns when the opposition line is 20+ mtrs away and makes a gew breaks is much easier than for a forward plowing up the middle against a set defence

Still 2 less than Roby who also topped 150m with the ball. Take that Smith!

You'll always do alot of tackling in defence, doing so many when your team is on top is brilliant

Big metres by all the starting forwards except LMS who looked like he had taken a knock. I think this is a key stat for us and our North West competitors this year.

Regarding Amor's tackling stats, you don't really choose how many tackles you make as a prop. Chances are Wire were trying to run more at Walsh and Wheeler rather than at a working forward.

An interesting stat is that our wingers made 6 tackles between them. I guess this shows how little they had to do against Monaghan and Riley who are usually Wires key attacking weapons. This has to show how much Wire were on the back foot all night.

I thought we did look wide open out wide on the rare occasion they moved it wide. I think Wigan, Leeds and hudds might get some joy against us out wide.

percival and swift are fast but very small. A big centre/wing could definitely damage us there. It was pleasing to see Wheeler covering in defence well on Thursday

If our pack get on top like they did against Warrington it may not matter. If you look at the W***ns forwards stats against Huddersfield and for most of last year this would be likely. Also we don't play Huddersfield for a long time so I guess we just have to worry about what will happen against Leeds.

Im not too worried. The players played like a team instead of individuals like the last few years. They covered for each other well (after the first 4 mins!)

Walmsley's meterage stats are fantastic against a Warrington team.

There's been people tipping Walsh and Lomax for MoS, but given how well Alex did last year after being thrown in, he could be absolutely massive for us in 2014.

He needs to focus on cutting out the mistakes first.
