Rovers brought 11000 last night, easy!!!!!

Nah - seriously. Rovers took abut 1500 to Saints last night. Brilliant atmosphere, and a quiet police presence.

Just an observation I made at the game though. In the stand where the bulk of the KR supporters where, there were a lot of St Helens fans, and most were children 8 - 15. Normally I would congratulate Saints for being able to attract such a young following, it's good for the game, but most of these fans where just stood in circles laughing and talking. A lot of them even had their backs to the game! A Saints fan infront of me even turned round and said (after one boy and another boy where rolling down the steps "playfighting"), do you get all this foolishness at your home matches? Atleast 500 of these fans where kids just sitting down, laughing, joking, talking, texting... but not watching.

Still Saints have a great home support, and I was pleased there was no fighting, or thousands of police. I can't comment on this metal detectors as I didn't see any or hear any fans complain about them.

I wouldn't call them fans, just locals who are sad enough to pay £18 to do something they can do at home...

Keeps them off the streets for two hours and puts a few thousand into Saints coffers. We'll put up with them for that reason alone, as annoying as they are.
