Only the individual who requires the visa can apply for it - the club will be acting only as sponsor. Under the Immigration Rules it is Meli's sole responsibility to ensure his entry clearance/leave to remain is obtained.

Get him sacked, i'd rather play armstrong on the wing, at least his mistakes (not so many) can be put down his youth and he is an academy graduate

Meli is a better player than Armstrong, However if we have a good enough reason then i would sack him.

We'll have some spare cash available for this season and next.

With the cash, I think we'd need to sign a winger because Armstrong hasn't got the experience yet to manage week-in week-out.

Can't Potter rotate on the wing giving other young players a chance, if Armstrong isn't supposed to be playing every match because of his youth (I didn't realise that young players couldn't play every match?)?

I'd say we probably need an experienced centre more than a winger if we were to buy anyone in at all. It would be a bit of a stretch methinks for us to have to train up both a centre and a winger from the new blokes but I suppose if we are strapped for cash and/or if there aren't any suitable players awaiting our attention then we will just have to get on with it!

They can play every match, but it wouldn't be wise.
