Not if Gardner, Meli, Wellens, Perry and Puletua are all finishing. I suspect we're going to have more cap room to play with than any other club for next season.

Perry is on an astronomical wage., if he goes it will free up a lot of space.

Wellens will also be getting a 1 year extension so I don't know where all these assumptions are being made that he's finishing/retiring. He isn't.

I believe the other ones quoted in your post are also correct.

He's a Saints legend, but he'd proved this year that his time's up. I can understand LMS, Flanagan and Laffranchi, if he's going to play second row, but not Wellens.

That kind of news makes me glad I didnt buy a 5 year season ticket. It's like already decided that we dont really want to win anything next year

clearly not and until we do we will not be winning any pots. There is no room for sentiment in professional sport , especially one with a salary cap
