I was about to say that the above is a squad that should be able to take Wakefield, but haven't they scored 100 points in the last week or so? Could this be a tougher ask then we imagine? I was impressed with the way we handle what I perceived as a banana skin in HKR. Hopefully we'll really pull out some muscle and grind the win out. Ant Walker will probably get the nod before greenwood, and his work rate may be very helpful.
BackrowSaint has called it the same as myself.
In terms of Wakey good bad or indifferent doesn't really matter. No point in having squad depth if you are not prepared to use it ,rather strap up the usuals.
At least now there is a sense of choice. All this talk of competition for places is fine but if you don't
give players a go then it defeats the object.
Play your stars half fit and needled up catches up with you.
They end up more banged up and out longer.
Then you have to play the fringe players and the kids anyway !!!
Worst that can happen is that is that Saints take a tonking in one relatively early league game and some of the fringe players are reminded of why they are fringe players.
Best case they give a good account of themselves and there is even more competition when all hands are on deck.
