I was about to say that the above is a squad that should be able to take Wakefield, but haven't they scored 100 points in the last week or so? Could this be a tougher ask then we imagine? I was impressed with the way we handle what I perceived as a banana skin in HKR. Hopefully we'll really pull out some muscle and grind the win out. Ant Walker will probably get the nod before greenwood, and his work rate may be very helpful.

BackrowSaint has called it the same as myself.

In terms of Wakey good bad or indifferent doesn't really matter. No point in having squad depth if you are not prepared to use it ,rather strap up the usuals.

At least now there is a sense of choice. All this talk of competition for places is fine but if you don't
give players a go then it defeats the object.

Play your stars half fit and needled up catches up with you.
They end up more banged up and out longer.
Then you have to play the fringe players and the kids anyway !!!

Worst that can happen is that is that Saints take a tonking in one relatively early league game and some of the fringe players are reminded of why they are fringe players.

Best case they give a good account of themselves and there is even more competition when all hands are on deck.

I think momentum is very important as it breeds confidence. At the moment we look very confident and we are putting points on the board. I'd only rest players that have bad knocks.

I'd pick strongest team possible to keep this role going.

Sia Soliola has tweeted his hip and knees are not seriously injured?

Don't know when he'll be back as yet?

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Good to hear.

I quite like Backrow's line up. Just shows we have options all over if players go down.

Have we had any news on Walsh? I did not even see him go off to be honest.

Walsh 4-6 weeks
Turner 3-4 weeks
Walmsley - 1 week
Sia 50/50 for Sunday
Percival - 1 week.
LMS obviously awaiting news on suspension. Hopefully he'll be back for the Cup.

Re: Injury's : Tue Mar 18, 2014 4:39 pm
SCRUM half Luke Walsh is set to miss the next four to six weeks with a calf injury but Head Coach Nathan Brown says he is confident of his squad's strength in depth.

The former Penrith Panther came off the field at half time in the win over Catalan and was on the sidelines with Jordan Turner and Sia Soliola.

"He's out for four to six weeks," Brown said, "with Jordan missing around three to four with a hamstring. We have a number of other players carrying minor knocks who might also miss a week.

"Alex Walmsley will probably miss out whilst Sia Soliola is 50/50. Mark Percival will be fit to face Leeds. We obviously won't know about Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook (Grade C charge) until later this evening."

Looks like a tough few weeks ahead. It'll be interesting watching to see how our lads cope.

2013 revisited.

Damn shame about Walsh. He didn't miss a game for Penrith last season. Comes over here and is out after five games.

That's going to make the Huddersfield game much tougher. It's not impossible of course, but it'll be like last season's games if we're not careful.
