He's a young lad and should be looked after. He came back and played at Leeds so obviously rates him, he's just give him a new deal at the club so other than him not being fit or discipline reasons I can't see why he'd say he's injured if not.
I didn't say he was
never injured (although that of course is a possibility as I don't remember him leaving the field injured). I simply suggested that the reason behind him remaining out of the team was not necessarily injury, and indeed the fact that he and Jones (who has otherwise been a shoo-in for a spot) both played at Rochdale last week more than suggests his continued absence was not injury related. Jones wouldn't need a refresher at Rochdale as he had only missed one game and he missed that because RFL rules require him to miss a week following signs of concussion.
Everyone knows that Brown tinkers with the team. The club will also know that this frustrates the fans, because I know for a fact that the club does keep its ear to the ground in this regard. By simply not commenting on what may have originally been a genuine injury, it is easy for Brown to tinker as he always wants to and the fans to be none the wiser.
That's me speculating though, just as you are.
As for Percival being a 'young lad', he is older than Thompson, who has played a few games in succession now.
