We're going to have to save space on the envy-o-meter for special occasions now.

Or just extend it up and over Billinge Hill

2 or 3 years was just a figure of speach, hence the bracketed area, '(no jokes please)'

Are you Ian Lenagan?

"When i said we would win the league in 2/3 years i didn't literally mean 2/3 years" :lol: I know you said no jokes but it was so hard not to. :twisted:

But seriously Wigan need to start bringing the young guy through. Their second team is going ok at the moment. But you can not see Wigan being a serious force for the next 6/7 years (assuming they don't sell them all to Huddersfield and sign a bunch of Aussies) if they do start to promote them.

Wigan's problem is the consistency and lack of quality in key positions.

We have had Pryce, Long, Cunningham and Sculthorpe. In the time Wigan haven't had a single player of that quality that isn't an expensive and time-limited Australian.

Wigan should start by culling most of their squad. The only worthy players I can think of there are Gleeson (Poor these days though) Tompkins and Luiluia. The rest are average at best and their key positions are filled with utter rubbish.

It is indeed that simple. Ofcourse they could shift some of their youth out instead of holding on to them.

This is supposed to be about our much loved envy-o-meter.
You can imagine the "Stevo-esque" commentary of the virtuoso performance from him right here;

"ZOOOM, Hock held up just short of the line, just a blade away from the spoils and he is grinding his teeth in anger" :wink:
