Maybe Wigan are lucky enough to be able to pay a fee for players, not many other clubs can do this.

We paid a fee for Amor this year which is the first time in about 10 years.

Wigan have been profitable for the last three years thanks to Lenagans business acumen. Since he took over, turnover at the club has increased from £3.9 million to £6.2 million
We have gone from making £600k loss to being profitable for the last three seasons (I suspect that will be four when this seasons figures are published next August)

It's not being lucky, it's being well managed.

You seemed to have gone from strength to strength since you sold your home, I wonder if selling LP might change our fortunes for the good?

Some very impressive figures there Rogues. You just need to get yourself your own stadium now. How is progress going in this regard? It has transformed our balance sheet and I am sure it would do the same to yours.

The "greatest rugby league club" in the world that doesn't have it's own stadium. This "greatest" club rents their stadium off a football team!

All this FIOS and your lodging with The Latics!

Maybe Lenagen should start using some of this £6.2m to build your own stadium and stop paying transfer fees every season when obviously he doesn't need to as you've the greatest youth system.

Surly the "greatest" business man on the planet in Ian Lenagan can surly see that spending fees on players every year is complete waste of money when you can produce such a long line of great youngsters?

Its most likely that Wigan have topped out now on turnover, ticket sales are around 4.3 m and the sky donation is around 1.2m this means IL has managed further income stream of 700k.
However the club doesn,t really have any asset value, They did allow Orrell rugby union club to go bust so I suppose they have asset value on the training ground.
Think IL can see reduced turnover in the future, the RFL deficiency effecting his club with reduced funding and possible sponsorship, hence his actions against the RFL.

JT is one of my favourite players for past 10 years. He's just pure class.

Good to see him run over to the south stand and give his skull cap to a kid at half time.

I don't know what owning your own ground has to do with signing players, but Wigan seem to be doing o.k. at making a profit without owning theirs, something the majority of RL seem to have a major problem with.

Produce as many players as possible through your youth development and top up from elsewhere seems to be a good working formula. Who would have thought that paying fees for the Lance Todd winner and Harry Sunderland winner would pay such dividends?

Do Brisbane or Melbourne or Sydney Roosters own their own grounds?

Didn't he do the same thing at Wrexham a couple of years ago?
