SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

So Tomkins at fullback Vs Lomax. Possible given johnny's injury. Tomkins wont be the same player after his injury.
Both wingers - sorry not having that.
Brainfart Gelling. - now I know you're having a laugh. My centres are Percy and Peyroux. Turner is still better than either of theirs.
Sarginson not as good as any above.
Williams - OK
Flower.
Farrell - close but i'd rather have savelio.
J Tomkins -
O'Loughlin - you're lucky if he plays these days.

The only thing wrong with our squad is the Safety first coaching. KC should let them off the lead. All those players are so much better than they are showing at present. With Daryl Powell coaching them they would be walking through this league this year. far too much negative play making the players look nervous in possession.

Your RL ignorance knows no bounds.
Of the last 29 Wigan games O'Loughlin has played 26.
Savelio, who can't get a game is better than Farrell who is an International back row forward!!!

And you've missed Bateman who is better than any of Saints back three forwards.

I think Warrington will have big year this season. Bought very well and have good depth in the squad. Wigan haven't played well this year but I think will come good as per usual. I can't see past those two.

I think we will struggle for top 4 this year tbh

Sandow is the most inconsistant player I have ever seen, he'll beat teams on his own and then the next week go anonymous, the question is when he inevitably drops form can Gidley pick up the slack, if so then it may just be their year

As a nuetral in this (and because I cant sleep) ill give my perspective:

Tompkins is clearly better than Lomax, even though both are better suited to the halves imo
Manfriedi is a hell of a player, looks a young Ryan Hall and could be in the England side a long time, Makinson Charnley is a toss up on form
Percival and Sarginson for the centres
williams over turner (obviously) and Id probably rather have smith because Walsh cant defend
Saint's front row is miles better, with Flower for Amor being the only question
Bateman and Savellio in the second row, Farrell is close and J Tomkins is the most overrated player in the league
SOL over Wilkin, hed probably be one of my favourite players if he didnt have the dirty side to his game (same for Bateman)

Wigan better backs, Saints batter pack, wigan probably just edge it
Both coaches play dire rugby, but Wane does it a lot more effectively

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

Week1

Zero tackle busts
Zero try assists
4 missed tackles
5.00m average gain.

Week 2

4 tackle busts
1 try assists
3 missed tackles
7.25m average gain.

I'm not sure but I think he has the worst missed tackle ratio in the whole of super league, 1 in 3 missed according to stats, thought our Luke Walsh would be worse but apparently not, he's not far off though.

Currently, that's a fair assessment!

Re: The next 5games... : Tue Mar 22, 2016 8:31 am
Saints have a better front row by a distance but Wigan's back row is comfortably better then Saints if everyone is fit (or if Williams is fit at the weekend which will allow O'Loughlin to move back to loose forward). I'd therefore put any pack battle as just about even.

As for the backs, on current personnel I'd take ours but both sides are missing big players (well player in our case if Williams plays). As a Wigan fan I'd feel much more nervous playing a Saints side with Turner at centre and Burns/Fages at stand off then I would Turner at 6 so it'll be interesting to see what Cunningham goes for.

Both sides haven't hit top gear yet but I'm still massively looking forward to the game.
