I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.
Another classic:
You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.

Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.

Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666

0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".

Therefore ZERO.
Give the girl her dummy back.

You sad bar-stewards. What Hock did is what every team does every week. Just because it's Gaz and he smashed your sorry excuse for a team all over the pitch you feel it should be him you target. Instead of talking about rugby you post endless threads about other ridiculous stuff like Gaz and the Ref to hide the embarrassment of your performance. Just accept it. The ref wasn't all that bad, It's just that you got penalised for the things you usually get away with, And whether your performance was good or not, You were totally outclassed by the greatest team ever to grace a Rugby field. Soliola is a big fish in a small pond and will soon get bored.

Now this Is quality, your Gaz's supplier right?
When do they give you the trophy,Monday?

Not bothered about Hock. He's a tool yeah but I expect that off him. He's shown he's a tool before so it's no surprise. What is disappointing is the fans reaction to it at the game. I know tempers are high but if he wants to act without dignity that's his choice but let's not turn into a bunch of wankers in response to him. Rise above it.

As for the fan who ran on the pitch, another tool and it the club gets a fine I hope this person goes and raises the money on the club's behalf to make the point that they feel their behaviour was suitably toolish and has no place at Langtree Park.

Hock and Tomkins have grown up in the shadow of their rivals so it's understandable that they'll get a bit excited celebrating. If I scored a try at Wigoon Zoo I'd be fist pumping and celebrating like I've won the lottery an' all. If you're a fan and don't like players celebrating wildly grow a pair and get on with your life (throwing the ball at supporters is out of order but still doesn't warrant running down the terracing as if you were stoning a war criminal).

How would you feel if the ball hit you or a family member?

He shouldn't be throwing the ball at the crowd.

Wigan Saints 2010.

Result 26-24 to Saints.

Wellens through the ball into the crowd on the full time hooter and shouted with his arms wide running down the South stand.

Your opinions on that?

This thread is a joke, he threw it underarm into the stand, like many other players do when celebrating. In fact Lima did it minutes later and received no reaction. But then others are also irritated because Tomkins celebrated after his try.

So are Saints really upset about the celebration or who was doing it. Both Hock and Tomkins are world class and not very popular with the opposition. Should they be banned from celebrating? Maybe we should extend it to Briers at wire, Wilkin, head high hohia and the slug at saints etc?!

It's a ball Pete, not a knife, bullet or hand grenade.

Oh right, so If it's thrown and it's someone directly on the nose it won't hurt?

If its a kid in the face it's ok?

Rugby balls going into the crowd. Blimey its getting a bit dangerous. I think this could lead to conversions being banned or nets being erected behind the posts.

I don't recall any Stains supporters making such a big deal of it when Wellens did the same at the DW. Nor did the Wigan supporters for that matter. I agree that players shouldn't do it but the ref spoke with Hock and that should be the end of it. Its certainly dangerous for players to put in high shots like the one from Hohaia on Tomkins but it happens in the heat of the moment occasionally. No malicious intent from Lance and none from Hock either.
