Brown is as safe as houses. Why do you think he continues to do what he does with his tinkering and such like in spite of the regular losses? If he didn't already have approval by those whose approval he needs - if his job wasn't as safe as houses - he wouldn't take those risks.
Brown is perhaps safe at the moment, but I reckon he could be on dodgy ground at the end of the season if we lose most of our remaining games and don,t reach the play offs for the first time in our history. His future could depend on the fans reaction to supporting next season if the club loses potentially 2 to 3 thousand fans thats almost 1/3 million pounds in lost revenue. Will McManus accept bad performances by the players, no signs of success from the coach, losing a 1/3 million pounds, something will give, hopefully Brown stops messing about and players show some attitude otherwise its Deja Vu 2012.

He will lose revenue when we announce the atrocious signings of Beuamont and retention of wello, Ade and Laffranchi.

I'm not sure how much credence the chairman gives the fans to be honest. I think if change were to come it would be because sponsors and other corporates don't like listening to the fans booing the team off! I'm not sure he is that concerned about the opinions of fans per se, seeing them as fickle creatures (which many of them are!).
As for what is going on with the team, if what someone told me is true then this season has been written off by the management and everything that is happening, is happening with the full approval of the management.

I suspect the latter and we are just going through the motions, we might find out against the Goons in a couple of weeks, if the players can,t respond to a derby no matter what form they are in, then maybe we can assume they are just waiting for the cavalry to arrive in Luke and Mose for 2014.
Brown's selections are at times ludicrous and his picking of Howarth in the back row was probably his worst selection thus far. Notwithstanding the mix and match selection criteria, I truly feel there is something wrong with the players attitude. It has been obvious in many games that they lack passion for the shirt. on many occasion they have let the opposition steamroller them into submission with impunity. Is this because the players are just not good enough or that they lack the will to play for NB. Is NB frustrated by the lack of ambition from above and is in his own way trying to highlight the teams weaknesses. Could it be player power going on a go slow so to speak because of management decisions they disagree with i.e. team selection. Senior players in all sports have a history of bringing down coaches they do not approve of. Whatever the problem is, it will be no easy task to resolve it.
There is, most of these senior players are out of contract, if they are the problem we just don't offer them new ones.

He'll be on dodgy ground, but I don't think he'll be sacked this year. Next year will be the issue if the performances don't pick up.

I agree, I think he will be given until the middle of next year. His selections are crazy but he's also had a bad time of it with injuries as well and also been left with a disastrous squad with no halves and poor props.
IMO your halves are the most important position in the team but if the props don't do there job then it makes the halves job 100 times harder.
He's brought in Walmsley, Manu and Turner who have been pretty good, he's also go Maose and Walsh for next year so 2014 will have a more of a Brown stamp on things.
I just hope he brings at least another top prop in and I'll be pretty happy.
