I've praised Mose when he's played well so I do try to be honest as I can. My biggest complaint with Mose is that he won't do those hard yards I'm banging on about all the time. One seen Amor do two tough drives off his own line and getting hammered while the big Mose was still walking back into the line (is that offside by way ?) and that for me happens to much.

The pack has to share the work and work as a unit. That wouldn't happen at Wigan that's for sure.

Look at his two last games for Samoa. He's took 10 drives in two games which IMO isn't acceptable and that indicates that the are some unsung heroes are doing his work.

Like I've said, when his attitude is right and he's on his game he's really good but 60% of the time he's lazy and not interested.

Barrie Mac and Terry O'conner both share my opinion and Mose himself said his performances wasn't up to scratch.

I posted this the other day and you didn't respond:

"Just to look at it from a different angle mate, what if that is a deliberate ploy? What if Walmsley and Amor are instructed to do the "hard yards" and Masoe told to save himself for the opposition half where he is far more dangerous and effective than the other two?

If that was the case then surely no blame can be laid at the door of Masoe. One thing for certain is that neither Walmsley or Amor would have scored some of the tries that Masoe did, therefore it wouldn't surprise me in the least if it's a tactical thing, as opposed to Masoe simply being reluctant to do the hard graft."

Perhaps 'lazy and not interested' is actually Masoe saving himself for the big plays as instructed?

But surely if he was as lazy, reluctant and uninterested as you suggest, then Brown, Cunningham, etc. wouldn't stand for it?

Percival, Swift, Hohaia have all been left out at various points this season due to performance. Why would Masoe be immune to that same treatment?

Do you honestly think a coach would tell a player not to do hard work when we had Amor our most of the year and also asking 19yr old kids to do his work?

Parish must be telling not to do the work either as 10 carries in two international games is pretty poor.

But it worked mate. Masoe came up with some big, important plays that changed the momentum in certain games and proved to be very pivotal. If he had been doing the donkey work in our own half then would he have scored those tries? Or would Richards/Amor been able to score those tries instead? I think the answer is no.

Surely you can see the possibility that Masoe has been instructed to save himself for the big plays? It's not as far-fetched as you seem to think it is. I've played in sides before where certain players are afforded the luxury of picking and choosing their moments and all I'm saying is that this could be the case with Masoe.

I wouldn't say he was the make or break guy for us wining two trophies. Let's not forget his awful stats of 5 carries per match etc

As another poster stated, there aren't stats for momentum changes and impact. The stats DO prove however that he makes good yards every time he has the ball.

Would you rather he made 5 carries at 10m per carry that all lead to try-scoring opportunities or set up attacks, or 10 carries in our own half at 6m a carry?

It seems that 99% of Saints fans noticed the positive influence he had on various games. Are you sure he hasn't touched you up?

But as Saddened alluded to, sometimes Mose's contribution can't be totally measured. Take the first tackle of the grand final, it was only 1 tackle (and a penalty) on the stats, but it lay the foundation for the entire match, that we would not be bullied. Those kind of contributions would be hard to replace.

Mose averaged 85metres a game last year, and I'd hope for him to average 100m a game next year, there are improvements that can happen, but that doesn't mean he's lazy/ rubbish/ poor attitude etc
